Make a fairy or faerie door using objects around the house and garden. Most of the items in this fairy door are used with recycled items, including a ring pull from a tin can and stones or rocks from the garden.

Perhaps a fairy lives behind this particular door, but perhaps it could be a gnome, hobbit or pixie also.

This is one design in a series of many fairy and fantasy doors.

Make a star sign plaque model with plaster of Paris to use as model for molding. Create a plaster of Paris tile and sculpt or carve the design into the tile or slab.

In this video the design is of a Scorpio star sign (although, I incorrectly mention Sagittarius). You can create any design you wish using the method shown in the video. The method shown is what works for the individual and is only to show others this particular process and of course, there are many other ways to achieve the same results.

Faux Aged Bronze Effect For Restoration

Faux aged bronze effect using acrylic bronze paint. The bronze metallic effect paint is applied to the material, which in this case, is a frame which will be used to support a large foot stool. The frame is primed with black enamel paint and the bronze finish is applied using the dry brush technique.

The dry brush technique is applied using minimal paint on the paint brush and brushed onto the material, or ‘dusted’ onto the material. This creates a kind of worn or aged look.

This video includes all four parts to a series of videos which starts at sculpting/creating an original planter using plaster of Paris bandages, through to creating a concrete cast from the original planter model, which includes making the planter from scratch to form a model for molding, preparing the mold to make a latex mold, creating a mother mold to house the latex mold, an optional painting technique and creating a concrete cast from the latex mold. From the latex mold, taken from the original planter model or design, many concrete casts can be made to make many planters.
