The latex mold for the gargoyle sculpture is being prepared in this video for the mother mold. The creation of the mother mold making process is shown to prepare for the next stage, which will be shown in a following video, to be ready for casting in concrete.

Paint A Fairy Door

Paint A Fairy Door

In this video a fairy door is painted using dry brush techniques along with regular painting techniques. The fairy door is made with concrete and is casted from an original fairy door created by Dramamask Delusions. A latex mold was made from the original model or prototype and in this video a concrete cast from the molded original is painted to create painting effects which show a relatively authentic finish for a decoration in the home or the garden.

Acrylic paints of brown (burnt umber), red, yellow, black and white were used to create the paint job in the video.

Concrete Pour Into Latex Molds

Concrete pour into latex molds for the beginning of March 2017. Casting up a selection of concrete casts, including a fairy door and various plaques which feature in other videos on this channel. Using latex molds which are made by Dramamask Delusions along with concrete which is mixed at a ratio of 2 parts sand and 1 part cement, polyfibres or nylon fibres, water, concrete bonder and washing up liquid or dish soap.

Make A Lioness Mask

Make A Lioness Mask

Make a lioness mask using clay. A mannequin head is used for a template to make and create the lioness mask, by sculpting the clay onto the mannequin head. The mannequin template gives the shape of a face to fit onto a human face, while sculpting the lioness design into the clay. The mannequin head was casted from concrete and molded from a regular polystyrene mannequin head which are easily available from shops or online at Ebay, etc. In this YouTube video, the process of making the mask from clay is shown from start to finish, showing results which can be achieved using this particular process. The mask has been sculpted, in view of making molds for future cast productions using materials such as resin, concrete, plaster of Paris and so on. At this stage the sculpture is ready for molding and will be molded in materials such as liquid latex, silicone, or any molding material which is best suited for this particular type of mask sculpture.

Paint A Skull Cast

Concrete Skull Painting – Natural Bone Effect.

Paint a concrete skull cast using acrylic paint. Colours used are white and brown (burnt umber). Use a paintbrush to apply thinned with water brown acrylic paint to undercoated skull cast. The undercoat is painted with white acrylic paint with a hint of burnt umber to create an off-white colour, resembling natural bone. The undercoat or primed coat is best painted around 24 hours in advance for best results with applying the brown paint and wiping with a cloth for a natural looking affect.
