A hole is drilled into the top to fit a tea light candle with the finished model emulating a dripping candle over a skull. A suitable prop for this time of the year – Halloween, plus a dark piece of decor for all year round.

The model created in this video is built in view of making a latex mold, to cast further reproductions in concrete. the model will be used as the template or pattern to make the latex mold. How to make the model and a paint effects example are shown in this video. You can find out how to make a latex mold on the Dramamask Evolution channel.

Create Sand Texture | Arts & Crafts

Create sand texture using PVA glue and sand. A relatively simple and effective technique to create sand texture on an array of projects and can be applied to any art and/or craft project.

In this video, I use an existing project by Dramamask Evolution to embellish the design and to create the effect I am looking. In this instance it is a Celtic plaque, which I wanted to create a sand texture in the deep cuts, to accentuate the design. I have also used the sand texturing on other projects and show examples at the end of the video, which includes a alginate casted hand sculpture, plus experimenting on a jam jar.

Make A Fairy Door

Make A Fairy Door

Make a fairy or faerie door using objects around the house and garden. Most of the items in this fairy door are used with recycled items, including a ring pull from a tin can and stones or rocks from the garden.

Perhaps a fairy lives behind this particular door, but perhaps it could be a gnome, hobbit or pixie also.

This is one design in a series of many fairy and fantasy doors.
